How does in-office whitening work?

A light-activated system that utilizes hydrogen peroxide to brighten teeth, Zoom! works by bleaching tooth enamel and dentin while maintaining and protecting the structure of each tooth.

Is it painful?

While every patient’s tooth sensitivity levels are different, the vast majority of our patients relax, watch videos, listen to music, or even fall asleep while their teeth are being whitened.

How long does the process take?

The whitening process takes approximately one hour to complete and is followed by a five-minute fluoride treatment. For best results, we recommend that patients undergo a cleaning prior to their in-office Zoom! whitening session.

How long will whitening results last?

There isn’t a set timeframe patients can expect to maintain their results for, but with careful and diligent daily oral hygiene habits that include brushing twice and flossing once, it’s likely that whitening results will be noticeable for a series of months. Patients will also be given a take-home gel and custom trays they can use for touch-up purposes.

Can anyone have their teeth whitened?
